about

Production note: this is the first song recorded on my Korg 16 track digital recorder. Previously I was using a mini-disc 4 track analog recorder which made it much more difficult to record; I'd have to mix 4 tracks down to 2 to have more than 4 parts. Everything is easier with 16 tracks! As a bonus, the clarity improved as well, so the last 3 songs on the album sound clearer and crisper. I look forward to an entire album using this improved recording process.

lyrics

You think you're one in a million
Well I've got some news for you
Love's never far away from me
When I'm away from you

A hundred arms wait for me
A thousand fingers pull me tight
I must have kissed a couple hundred lips
Since I kissed your lips last night

You're a dime a dozen girl
To me you're all the same
You forget you were once lonely
And I forget your name

You've got all your dreams tied up in me
But I can't be tied to you
'Cause you're a dime a dozen
And I've got a dime or two

There's enough of me to go around
But you'll have to learn to share
Considering the ratios
You'll agree it's only fair

So remember that I love you
But remember while it's true
That tonight's your lucky number
There's a number after you

You're a dime a dozen girl
To me you're all the same
You forget you were once lonely
And I forget your name

You've got all your dreams tied up in me
But I can't be tied to you
'Cause you're a dime a dozen
And I've got a dime or two
